Cashtown Rallies to Defeat Hanover in Game 3
The Cashtown Pirates moved to within a game of winning the 2017 SPL championship by defeating the Hanover Raiders 4-2 Sunday afternoon at Diller Field. The Pirates rallied to tie the game on two occassions, then took the lead for good in the sixth before tacking on insurance in the seventh. Brendon Reinert got the win by going the distance, escaping several jams along the way. Andrew Burke suffered the loss for the Raiders despite allowing just three hits on the afternoon.
The Pirates take a 2-1 series lead back to Cashtown, where they will look to sew up their first title in six years Tuesday night at 6:00.
