North Carroll Scores Early, Holds Off Gettysburg

North Carroll scored seven runs over the first two innings, then withstood a late Gettysburg charge to down the Grays 8-5 Thursday night in Hampstead, MD.  Elijah Wingate, Zac Nedzel, and Todd Wilmer each drove in a pair of runs for the Panthers. Trevor Boring threw four innings to get the win and Nedzel finished to notch the save. Ian Van Anden drove in two runs for the Grays.

New Oxford and Hanover played to a 1-1 tie over nine innings. Brady Topper's solo home run in the fourth put the Twins ahead, but the Raiders responded an inning later when Zach Rudisill delivered Clint Roche with a single. Bob Taylor had 3 hits for the Raiders, while Conrad Miller and Derek Smith had two hits each for the Twins.

Cashtown jumped on Brushtown early and cruised to an 11-1 win over the Bulldogs at the Brushtown Athletic Association.  No game details were provided.

Littlestown and Biglerville were force to postpone their contest when the umpires deemed the field unplayable. No makeup date for that game has been announced.
