Pair of Big Innings Helps Gettysburg Down Bulldogs
Brushtown hung with Gettysburg the entire game, but a 5-run sixth inning helped launch the Grays past the Bulldogs by a 14-7 score Wednesday night at Rec Park. Brushtown led 4-1 entering the third, but Gettysburg put six runs on the board in their half of the inning. Brushtown added three runs in the fifth to cut the gap to 9-7. Tyler Martin went 3-for-5 and Logan Carbaugh had 2 hits and 3 RBIs to lead Gettysburg's 13-hit attack. Chris Staub had 2 hits and 3 RBIs for Brushtown. Cory Rice got the win for the Grays by striking out 10 over 5 innings.
