Cashtown and Littlestown split a doubleheader Sunday afternoon, with the Pirates winning game one 6-5 and the Dodgers taking the nightcap 6-1.  The games were played at Cashtown.  The remaining two games between the two clubs will now be moved to Littlestown with the Dodgers serving as home team.

Hanover's twinbill at Biglerville was postponed, with makeup dates for the two games scheduled for Friday, May 25 and Wednesday, May 30.  New Oxford's doubleheader with North Carroll was also postponed. No makeup dates have been reported.

No information was received pertaining to Brushtown's scheduled doubleheader at Gettysburg on Sunday.

 

The SPL slate was washed out by rain Thursday, and Sunday looks up in the air. We'll pass along any make up dates as they are provided.

 

Instead of being at the baseball field where they belong, all the South Penn mom's were forced to enjoy Mother's Day indoors as persistent rain and sloppy fields caused the entire weekend slate to be postponed.

New Oxford's game at Brushtown has been rescheduled for May 31.  No other makeup dates have yet to be announced.

Hunter Rang fired a complete game 2-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts to lift the Cashtown Pirates to a 1-0 win over the Brushtown Bulldogs Thursday night in the season opener for both teams. Kyle Raubenstine limited the Pirates to a lone hit and struck out six in the loss.

In other SPL action from Thursday, Mark Phillips' RBI single in the bottom of the seventh boosted the Hanover Raiders past the New Oxford Twins by a score of 2-1.  Littlestown edged Biglerville 5-4 in eight innings, and North Carroll defeated Gettysburg 10-2.

Biglerville defeated Gettysburg 2-0 Wednesday in a makeup of their season opener. Three Sox pitchers combined on the 5-hit shutout. Both teams are back in action Thursday.
