Cashtown Secures Top Playoff Seed with Win over Littlestown

Cashtown raced out to an early lead and never looked back as the Pirates throttled Littlestown 14-4 Tuesday night at Littlestown. Dillon Gebler led the Pirates' 14-hit attack with three hits and 2 RBIs, while Robert Rohrbaugh drove in four and Dylan Ed homered and drove in three. Chase King struck out five over six innings on the hill.  Joe Murren had two hits and drilled a solo homer for the Dodgers. With the win, Cashtown secures the no. 1 seed heading into next week's SPL playoffs.

New Oxford took down Hanover 15-2 at Diller Field. Dan Shafer, Conrad Miller, and Joel Clabaugh each had two hits for the Twins, with Shafer and Miller driving in three each and Clabaugh, Austin Roth, and Davey Zaminski adding 2 RBIs. Clint Roche was 3-for-3 and belted a solo homer for the Raiders.  New Oxford will be the no. 2 playoff seed by virtue of Cashtown's win on Tuesday.

A win by Hanover on Thursday against Brushtown would lock the Raiders into the no. 3 playoff seed and would give Littlestown the 4 seed.

The 5-7 seeds for the upcoming SPL playoffs remain up in the air and will be determined by the results of four games involving Gettysburg, North Carroll, and Biglerville set to be played this weekend.
