Panthers and Grays Split Friday Night Twinbill

North Carroll and Gettysburg split a doubleheader under the Friday night lights of Rec Park, with North Carroll winning game one 10-4 before the Grays came back to take game two 13-3. In the opener, Todd Wilmer had just one hit but drove in five runs. Zak Nedzel had a pair of hits and scored three times. Gettysburg managed just four hits, but their pitchers combined to strike out 14 Panthers in the loss.  The Grays rebounded to take the nightcap thanks to a strong performance at the plate by Dustin O'Brien, who was 4-for-5 with a home run and 4 RBIs. Troy Litten added three RBIs and scored three times. Derrick Ivey allowed just one hit and struck out 12 in the six inning contest.

North Carroll, Gettysburg, and Biglerville could each finish anywhere among the 5 thru 7 seeds in next week's playoffs, with Gettysburg and Biglerville facing off today and the Grays and Panthers set to square off again on Sunday.
