Black Sox Complete Sweep of Dodgers

Biglerville rebounded from an early 5-2 defecit to defeat Littlestown 6-5 Saturday at Oakside Community Park. The win gives Biglerville the series sweep of the Dodgers and advances the Black Sox to round two of the SPL playoffs. Ben Bretzman fired 6.2 innings, allowing five runs despite surrendering only one hit. Tyler Kime and Tanner Byers had two hits each and Kyle Gillingham drove in two runs for the Black Sox.

Hanover edged North Carroll 3-2 at Hampstead to even their series at 1-1. Bob Taylor had two hits and drove in two runs for Hanover. Tyler Null went 6.2 innings and Clint Roche got the final out for the save. Wade Groupp had three hits for the Panthers.

New Oxford advanced to round two with a 10-0 victory over Gettysburg at Rec Park. The Twins mustered just four hits on the afternoon but took advantage of 11 Gettysburg free passes. Will Tokarski allowed just one hit and fanned seven.

Alex DeHass and Tyler Reinert combined to allow no hits and recorded 13 of their 15 outs via strikeout as Cashtown blanked Brushtown 15-0 in five innings. Reinert and Hunter Rang combined to drive in seven runs for the Pirates.
