Saturday SPL slate wiped out

All four South Penn League games scheduled for Saturday fell victim to the rain.  With Saturday's slate originally expected to wrap up the regular season and more rain in the forecast, some creativity may be needed to get the final games in.

Cashtown and Biglerville will give it a try Sunday at 1:00 at Cashtown.  Hanover and North Carroll will attempt to play an already rescheduled doubleheader Sunday at North Carroll.

New Oxford and Gettysburg, with the Twins already having secured the top seed and Gettysburg having difficulty finding an acceptable makeup date in the next two days, have elected to forgo re-playing their game that was rained out today. Both teams will take a "loss" in the standings for playoff seeding purposes.

No makeup dates for the Brushtown-North Carroll or Hanover-Littlestown games rained out on Saturday have been provided. In addition, Littlestown and Brushtown have one regular season game left to play that has not been rescheduled.
