Biglerville survived an early 4-0 deficit and came back to beat Brushtown 5-4 Tuesday at Oakside Community Park. Tyler Kime homered for the Black Sox. Cody Smith struck out 13 for the Bulldogs in defeat.
In other SPL action, New Oxford topped North Carroll 10-0 in six innings. Derek Smith and Anthony Lippy limited the Panthers to one-hit. Mitch Collins had three hits for the Twins, and Matt Martin drove in three.
All SPL games for June 10 were postponed due to a wave of rain that passed through the area Sunday morning. Makeup dates are pending.
Cashtown's Chase King struck out 13 in a complete game effort as the Pirates defeated Littlestown 8-4 Thursday at Cashtown. Zach Ketterman homered, joining Robert Rohrbaugh with 3 runs batted in for the Pirates.
In other SPL games from Thursday, New Oxford rallied from a four-run deficit to tie the game in the seventh before eventually defeating North Carroll 5-4 in 8 innings. Hanover bested Biglerville by a score of 7-1, and Brushtown downed Gettysburg 10-0 in five innings.
New Oxford and Littlestown avoided the rain but couldn't avoid each other, as the two teams played to a 2-2 tie after six innings. Because the minimum five innings were reached, the game is considered complete.
All games from this past weekend were postponed due to rain. Both games from Thursday, May 31 also fell victim to rain.
