Anthony Lippy allowed two hits and struck out 12 over six innings in New Oxford's 11-1 win over Gettysburg Tuesday at New Oxford High School.  Brady Topper was 3-for-3, and Dan Shafer and Austin Roth had two hits each for New Oxford. Cory Rice had an RBI double and Dan Dennison singled for the Grays.

Hanover got 3 RBIs each from Andrew Burke and Clint Roche in the Raiders 9-4 win over Biglerville at Diller Field. Rick Estes and Zack Rudisill had two hits each for Hanover, while Tucker Byers and Colton McKinney both singled twice for the Black Sox. John Karlheim struck out six in the complete game win.

 

Gettysburg and New Oxford have postponed their game for Monday, June 10 due to wet grounds.  While the two teams will replay this one on Wednesday, July 10, the two teams will also play each other tomorrow in a regularly scheduled game at New Oxford HS.

North Carroll announced that their makeup game with Brushtown from their May 30 rainout will be played on Tuesday, June 18 at North Carroll High School.

Brushtown and New Oxford have also rescheduled their rainout from May 5 to be made up on Tuesday, June 25 at Brushtown.

 

Littlestown defeated Hanover in walk-off fashion in a 7-6 victory in game one of their doubleheader Sunday at Littlestown. They decided they liked that so much that they did the same thing in game two, again winning 7-6 on a walk-off hit. Jacob Crawmer delivered the game-winner in the opener, and Sean Connole dropped the hammer in game two.

Cashtown was on the ropes twice but emerged victorious in a pair of wins over Biglerville at Oakside. The Pirates took game one 8-4 in 12 innings by scoring 4 in the top of the 12th. Chase King had four hits and Tyler Reinert three hits and 4 RBIs for the Pirates. Ben Bretzman homered twice and drove in 3 for the Black Sox. Game two saw the teams tied at 6-6 entering the seventh, with the Pirates scoring the go-ahead run in the top of the frame. King and Chris Schachle each had three hits in the nightcap for Cashtown.

North Carroll handled Brushtown in a pair of 5-inning victories, winning by scores of 22-1 and 17-5.

 

Biglerville managed only two hits on the evening but took advantage of six walks and five errors by Gettysburg to down the Grays 5-3 in a makeup contest Friday night at Oakside. Ben Bretzman struck out 11 batters in a complete game effort to earn the victory on the mound. None of Biglerville's runs were earned. Sam Shea allowed just one hit through four innings of work for Gettysburg.

 

The Cashtown Pirates scored 12 runs in the bottom of the first and didn't look back in a 14-4 win over Hanover Thursday night at Cashtown. Michael Tempel was 4-for-4, Robert Rohrbaugh had a homer and 4 RBIs, and Zach Ketterman had a pair of hits for the Pirates. Austin Kibler drove in two on a pair of hits and Rick Estes homered for the Raiders.

In other SPL games from Thursday, Littlestown won 12-1 over Brushtown in a makeup game at Littlestown. Sam Zeigler stroked a home run and had 4 RBIs for the Dodgers.

Biglerville grabbed the lead in the bottom of the sixth to hold off North Carroll 7-3 at Oakside.  Noah Ayers had 3 RBIs and threw 3+ innings for Biglerville, while Tyler Kime had a pair of Black Sox hits. Trevor Boring and Andrew Wilmer had two hits each for the Panthers.
