Littlestown walloped North Carroll in a weeknight doubleheader Friday, played at Littlestown's Memorial Park with North Carroll serving as home team. The Dodgers won game one 17-1 and took game two 19-6.

In another makeup game under the lights Friday, Brushtown doubled up Gettysburg 8-4.

The wins by Littlestown and Brushtown moved both teams into a statistical tie with Hanover for third place in the SPL standings, with all three teams just a game behind Cashtown in the battle for the no. 2 seed in the upcoming SPL playoffs.

 

Cashtown defeated Littlestown 3-0 Thursday at Littlestown's Memorial Field. Chase King tossed a shutout, allowing five hits and striking out three. Michael Tempel had three hits to lead Cashtown, which got RBI singles from Robert Rohrbaugh and Zach Ketterman and a sac fly from Tyler Reinert.

New Oxford secured the top seed in the upcoming SPL playoffs after a 5-3 comeback win at North Carroll. Larry Baumgarnder was 4-for-4 and Mitch Collins and Kevin McManama both had three hits for the Twins. Elijah Wingate and Connor Risner both had two hits for the Panthers.

Hanover rallied with five runs in the sixth to pull away from Biglerville in an 11-4 victory. Pat Brady remained red-hot with three hits and three runs scored, while Clint Roche, Mark Phillips, Kody Kibler, and Kenny Horney each raked two hits apiece. Logan Howell had two hits and drove in two for the Black Sox.

In other SPL action from Thursday, Brushtown beat Gettysburg 15-3. No details from the game were available.

 

Conrad Miller's 2-run single with two outs in the top of the fourth accounted for the only offense as the New Oxford Twins defeated Cashtown 2-0 Tuesday at Cashtown. Jeff Deveney singled twice for the Twins, who got a combined 3-hitter from three pitchers. Dan Shafer doubled at the dish and tossed four innings to bag the win.

In other SPL action from Tuesday, Brushtown defeated Hanover 11-4 at Diller Field. No game details were provided.

 

The Hanover Raiders pounded North Carroll for a pair of 5-inning wins on Sunday, winning game one 14-4 before taking the nightcap 11-0. Andrew Burke had three hits in each game and a total of 7 RBIs on the day to lead the Raiders offense. Alex Smith had three hits in game one also. Elijah Wingate homered for North Carroll in the opener. A.J. Phillips and Jon Karlheim picked up the wins on the mound.

Cashtown brought the lumber to Rec Park on Saturday, winning by scores of 22-10 and 11-1. No game details were available.

New Oxford and Biglerville split their doubleheader on Sunday, bringing an end to the Twins 16-game win streak. The Twins took game one 15-2, with Zach Keffer and Davey Zaminski both delivering three hits. Keffer drove in five and Zaminski three. In game two, Brendan Delridge fired a complete game as the Black Sox won 4-2. Jon Borth had a big 2-run single in the fourth inning for the Sox.

 

Hanover defeated Gettysburg 11-4 Friday night at Rec Park. No game details were provided.
