Biglerville managed only three hits Thursday night, but the Black Sox still were able to edge visiting North Carroll by a score of 3-2 in a South Penn League makeup game at Oakside. Walks and passed balls allowed Biglerville to score two runs, and the other came home on Colby Smith's double, the Sox's first hit of the night, that scored Ben Bretzman in the fourth. North Carroll, meanwhile, raked eight hits in the game including one in every inning but stranded nine baserunners. Trailing 3-0 in the seventh, the Panthers scored one run when Trevor Boring singled and later scored on a balk, and Elijah Wingate made it even more interesting with a one-out solo homer. But Biglerville pitcher Tanner Byers got the final two outs to finish off the complete game win.

Cashtown used a 10-run third inning to blast past Gettysburg 12-1 Tuesday night. Chris Schachle had three hits to pace the Pirates, winners of five straight. Robert Rohrbaugh belted a 2-run homer. Logan Carbaugh had to hits for the Grays.

Hanover received a forfeit win against Brushtown Tuesday due to a lack of available players for the Bulldogs.

Cashtown won a pair of games Sunday against Biglerville at Oakside Community Park. The Pirates rode Shameus Lunney's complete game two-hitter to down the Black Sox 7-0 in the opener. The makeup game between Gettysburg and Cashtown originally scheduled for tonight (Friday, June 29) has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 19.

Biglerville used a pair of late rallies to upend Brushtown 3-2 Thursday night at Oakside Community Park. Trailing 2-0 entering the fifth, the Sox tied it on a bases loaded walk to Roger Andras and an infield single from Travis Byers. Then in the sixth, Keith Redding led off with a single and scored the go-ahead run on Bo Redding's flare to left. Tanner Byers went the distance, striking out six to pick up the win. Brushtown starter Aneury Olivo fanned 11 over five innings of work.

In other SPL games from Thursday, New Oxford scored an unearned run in the bottom of the seventh for a walk-off 4-3 win on Littlestown's Memorial Field. Littlestown trailed 3-1 entering the seventh but tied it up on two-out, RBI singles from Trent Copenhaver and Jacob Crawmer. After the Twins loaded the bases with no outs in the seventh, Austin Roth scored when the throw to nail him at the dish on an infield grounder sailed high. Copenhaver's three hits led all players.

Cashtown blanked visiting North Carroll 10-0. The Pirates scored seven in the bottom of the sixth to break things open. Ryan Reinert had three hits for the Pirates, and Michael Tempel and Michael Negro both posted two hits.
