Chris Schachle's infield single scored J.C. Collins from third with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, giving Cashtown a 3-2 win over New Oxford Tuesday night at Cashtown. Collins opened the frame with a hit by pitch, advanced to third on a sac bunt and groundout, and scored when Schachle's grounder up the third base line couldn't be handled. The rally made a winner of D.J. Cool, who tossed a complete game and allowed just four hits. His only mistake was a 2-run homer by Dan Shafer that knotted the game at 2-2 in the top of the fifth. Cashtown leads the series 1-0 and will head to New Oxford for game two on Thursday.
Hanover notched its third consecutive shutout, using a complete game three-hitter from Andrew Burke to down Littlestown 3-0 in their series opener. Mark Phillips' 2-run single in the third was all the offense the Raiders would need, and Bob Taylor's fifth inning RBI single provided additional insurance for Burke, who avenged his only loss of the regular season. Game two will be Thursday at Littlestown.
Austin Kibler struck out 10 in a complete game 2-hitter, as the top seeded Hanover Raiders finished off the Mummasburg Mets 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at Mummasburg. The win moves the Raiders into round two where they will face the Littlestown Dodgers, who blanked Brushtown 5-0 on Saturday. Neither the Raiders nor the Dodgers allowed a run in any of their first round playoff games.
On the other side of the bracket, New Oxford will face Cashtown. The Twins defeated Biglerville 4-2 on Saturday, with Alex Emlet picking up his 10th win of the season. Jeff Deveney drove in 3 runs for the Twins, while Travis Byers hit a 2-run homer and accounted for two of the Black Sox three hits. Cashtown took care of Gettysburg 18-7 on Saturday to complete their series sweep.

Brian Laurito's solo home run in the top of the ninth was the only score of the game as Littlestown topped Brushtown 1-0 Thursday at the Brushtwon Athletic Association. The Dodgers lead the best-of-three series 1-0, with game two set for Littlestown on Saturday.
In other action from Thursday, Cashtown held off Gettysburg 2-0. Chase King whiffed 10 to win a pitcher's duel against Robert Rohrbaugh.
New Oxford scored six runs in the first three innings and Anthony Lippy struck out a dozen in New Oxford's 6-2 win over Biglerville.
