Littlestown swept North Carroll in a doubleheader Sunday behind a pair of strong outings by their starting pitchers. Calvin Benevento struck out eight batters befroe a pair of relievers closed the door in a 6-5 game one victory. Tom Herr then throw a full seven frames in the Dodgers' 5-1 win in the nightcap. Sam Wertz was 2-for-3 with a double in game one while Justin Keith and Jacob Thomas swatted two hits to help complete the sweep.

Cashtown beat New Oxford 5-1 in game one of their scheduled doubleheader. Alex DeHaas went the distance to pick up the win for Cashtown. Game two saw Cashtown leading 6-5 in the top of the fourth inning when the second lightning delay of the game and threatening skies forced the game to be scraped. That game will be replayed in its entirety at a later date.

Hanover picked up a pair of 7-0 forfeit wins from Brushtown as the Bulldogs could not put a full team together for the second time in four days.

 

Gettysburg picked up its first win of the 2019 season by winning game one of its twilight doubleheader over Biglerville Saturday night by a score of 4-2, but the Black Sox came back to earned the split with a 6-1 win in game two. Dustin O'Brien had two hits to lead the Grays in the opener. Tyler Martin threw five innings of 2-hit ball to notch the win with relief help from Cory Rice. In game two the Black Sox scored 5 runs in the top of the first and never looked back. Shawn Redding had two knocks for the Sox while Martin had two hits for Gettysburg. Tanner Byers went seven strong for the win.

 

Trent Copenhaver struck out nine and allowed just five hits as the Littlestown Dodgers blanked Biglerville 3-0 Friday night at Littlestown's Memorial Field.  Joe Murren had two hits, including a solo homer during the Dodgers' 3-run sixth inning, to lead Littlestown's offense, while Pat Armor delivered two hits for the Sox.

 

Chris Schachle's 5-RBI night helped propel Cashtown to an 11-0 win over Biglerville in 5-innings Thursday night at Cashtown.  Chace King allowed just two hits over 5 frames for the Pirates, who have not allowed a run through three games thus far.

Hanover blanked Littlestown 10-0, their second shutout win over the Dodgers in as many weeks. Andrew Burke allowed one hit and struck out 5 over five innings. Alex Smith, Adam Smith, Bob Taylor, and Clint Roche each had two hits for the Raiders, with Roche belting a home run. Joe Murren had the lone hit for the Dodgers.

North Carroll won 7-0 by forfeit over Brushtown, who did not have enough players at game time.

 

Standing water on the diamond at Rec Park forced the postponement of Wednesday's clash between New Oxford and Gettysburg.  The game will be replayed on Monday, June 10, at Rec Park.
